Byron Rodway, Mayor

Brigus is one of the oldest communities in North America, being founded in 1612. The town is noted for its beauty, historic sites and many stone walls. The town is rich in its history being the home of Captain Bob Bartlett, who led Admiral Peary to the north pole.

Come visit, see the beauty of our town, learn more of our history, and find out that there is truth in the statement: "There are no strangers here, only friends you have not yet met."

You will be warmly welcomed.
