Brigus is located on the Island of Newfoundland, which is the most easterly part of Canada. The town is situated on the Avalon Peninsula, about 70km from the capital city of St. John's (St. John's Airport) and about 79km from Argentia the terminus of the Marine Atlantic ferry from Nova Scotia. How to Get to Brigus To get to Brigus from Argentia, take Route 10o to Route 1 and turn east or right at the EXIT Continue on Route 1 to Exit 31, then take Route 75 to the Baccalieu Trail. From Route 75 you can take either Roaches Line or Hodgewater Line. At the intersction between either of these roads and Route 60, take Route 60 to Brigus. To get to Brigus from St. John's, you can take one of two Routes, one scenic and longer and the other faster. For the scenic route, take Route 1 West from St. John's. At the Conception Bay South exchange on the TransCanada highway just outside the city, take ROUTE 60 and continue on Route 60 to Brigus. The drive will lead around Conception Bay. For the faster Route, take Route 1 West from St. John's. Continue on Route 1 to Exit 31, then take Route 75 to the Baccalieu Trail. From Route 75 you can take either Roaches Line or Hodgewater Line.
