THURSDAY - AUGUST 09th

4:30pm -7:00pm Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans, Homemade Bread, tea/coffee & Dessert, Sale table, at the Academy Hall. Sponsored by the United Church Women. $6:00 per-person.
7:00pm A Royal Shag Up - Comedy Dinner Theatre. The Queen visits and with the help of our womanizing Mayor and torrid French dancer Fifi LaFlamme, unveils a lot more than a monument! [Held Friday & Saturday evenings through July & August. Choice of menu. Reservations essential (709) 528-4044.]
9:00pm Newfie Night at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 65.
Sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion. Music by Ron Rose, with Screech-ins. Admission: cash donation in aid of TCP Health Foundation.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 10th

2:00pm - 4:00pm Kids Activities, Located at the Ball field. (ages 4-12) Compliments of the Brigus Blueberry Festival Committee Inc. & Independent Fish Harvesters Inc.
2:30pm Steps Through Time; A walking tour of Brigus including comedy, music, and dance. Hosted by The Baccalieu Players Inc.
4:00pm Pot Luck Supper at the Academy Hall. Sponsored by the St. George's Heritage Committee Inc. $9.00 per person.
6:00pm His Majesty's Royal Newfoundland Regiment of Foot. ( Signal Hill Tattoo) [Weather permitting. Location to be announced.]
7:30pm Opening Ceremonies - Water St. Brigus, next to Wilcox Gardens, private reception ( by invitation only), to follow at the Firemen's Recreation Centre. Catering by Brigus Volunteer Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary.
9:00pm Adult Outdoor Dance, adjacent to the Recreation Centre. 19 years and older. Music by "Fitz" (Dave & Greg). Free admission.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 11TH

Admission pass (bracelet) on sale at the entrance to the festival site.
Cost: $2.00 each [Pre-school children are free.] Pass must be displayed to gain admittance.

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation will be on site with its lucky strike inflatable. All proceeds in aid of the Canadian Cancer Society NL Assoc. & the Brigus Blueberry Festival Committee Inc.

8:00am - 11:00am Fish and Brewis Breakfast at the Academy Hall. Sponsored by the U.C. Men. $7.00 per person.
10.00am Parade forming up at St. Patrick's Parish Hall. Antique Vehicles, Floats, Clowns, etc..... Service Groups and Youth Groups are all invited.
12:20pm Folk Festival, Raffles, Craft Stalls, Baked Goods, Games of Chance, Mooseburgers, Cash bar, etc.......Fun and Games for all ages!!!
(All activities to be held at Central Brigus next to Wilcox Gardens)
12:30pm. Adult Dance Tickets go on sale at the Giant Tent. (Limit four per person. First Come-First Served!) $6.00 single.
1:20pm. Pie Eating Contest, preliminary round. Limited number of entrants, 1st come, 1st served!
4:00 -6:00pm. Baked Ham Dinner & Dessert, with tea or coffee, at the Knights of Columbus Building. Sponsored by Rev. Dr. E. J. Jones Council K. of C. $10.00 per person.
6:30pm. " Missed" Blueberry Pageant. Contestants wanted!
9:30pm. Adult Dance at the Recreation Centre. Music by " Wiseman Brothers". Sponsored by, the Brigus Blueberry Festival Committee Inc. and Brigus Volunteer Fire Brigade. Dancing also in Giant Tent adjacent to Recreation Centre. Advance sale of tickets for this dance will take place on Sunday August 5 th , 1:00 p.m. at the Recreation Centre. Limited number available! Four tickets per person. $6.00 single.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 12TH

8:00am. - 11:00am. Blueberry Pancakes, Bacon & Sausage at the Firemen's Recreation Centre. Sponsored by the Firemen. $6.00 per person.
11:00am. Ecumenical Service to be held in the St. George's Heritage Church.
12:00 noon - 2:00pm. Soup, Sandwiches and Dessert at Academy Hall. Sponsored by U.C. Board of Stewards. $6.00 per person.
12:20pm. Folk Festival, Craft Stalls, Baked Goods, Games of Chance, Mooseburgers, Cash Bar, etc..... All in Central Brigus next to Wilcox Gardens.
2:00 p.m. Pie Eating Contest, Finals.
4:30pm - 6:30pm. Roast Beef Dinner, tea/ coffee & dessert at St. Patrick's Parish Hall. Sponsored by St. Patrick's Parish. $10.00 per person, children under the age of 12, $6:00.
4:15pm. Cutting and sale of 3ft Blueberry Pie, at the Recreation Centre. $1.00 per piece.
5:30pm. Loonie Dash and Out of Province Guest Draw. Winner must be present to claim prize.
9:00pm. (approx.) Fireworks at Brigus Waterfront (weather permitting). Sponsored by Brigus Blueberry Festival Committee Inc.
Note* As a safety precaution, no persons will be permitted to observe the fireworks from the public wharf and boaters will be required to move away from the wharf during the fireworks display.
10:00pm. Adult dance at the Recreation Centre. (19 years & older please!) Music by "King Music & Video."

NOTES
In an attempt to alleviate traffic congestion, we would like to ask visitors and residents to enter the festival area via Irish Town Road and exit via Station Road. All traffic during the weekend will be one way. Thank you for your cooperation.

PARKING: Due to traffic congestion, please park on the parking lots of St. Patrick's Church & Bishop O'Neil Collegiate and Ballfield.

Physically challenged parking and performers' parking will be on Irishtown Road & South St. , East of Chapel Lane.

Free Shuttle Bus service from designated parking areas to and from the festival site.

Under the Newfoundland & Labrador Liquor Control Act, it is an offence to drink alcoholic beverage in public and this will not be tolerated at the festival. People drinking in public will be reported to the RCMP for prosecution.

Washroom facilities at the Stone Barn Museum & Recreation Centre. Portable washrooms at various other locations.

Most venues wheelchair accessible.

NO PETS OR BICYCLES ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS DURING THE FESTIVAL WEEKEND, PLEASE!!

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, PLEASE LEAVE HIM / HER AT HOME. IT IS TOO HOT TO LEAVE PETS IN YOUR VEHICLE AND IT'S TOO CROWDED TO TAKE PETS ONTO THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS.

PLEASE BRING YOUR SUN SCREEN.
